GUEST EXPERIENCE TEAM

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A PART OF THE GUEST EXPERIENCE TEAM! BELOW ARE THE DETAILS FOR THE TEAMS FOR BOTH EXPERIENCES, AND BELOW THAT ARE THE DETAILS FOR EACH TEAM ROLE! PLEASE CONTACT AILEEN THOMPSON IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

EXPERIENCE TEAM DETAILS

1st Experience

  1. Arrive at 8am for final set up & huddle (we’ll have breakfast and coffee at the huddle!)
  2. Please stay in your position/area throughout 1st experience, as we have a lot of guests arrive for 2nd experience during this time. You will be able to completely enjoy 2nd experience once you hand off your position to the team member scheduled for 2nd experience (so that no area is ever left “unattended” when guests may be arriving).

2nd Experience

  1. Arrive and meet Experience Coordinator (either Paige or Megan) in the lobby at 9:45am.  We’ll go over the day, pray together, and have breakfast!
  2. 1st experience team member will hand off their position to you and you should be in position by 10am
  3. You are welcome to go into 2nd experience at 10:25, by 10:30.
  4. After 2nd experience, please help us pack up your area and take the bin out to the trailer and put it away in the designated spot.

TEAM ROLES

HOST

  1. Stand right inside the entrance to the main event (by the sliding door).

  2. Greet each guest with a smile, welcoming conversation, and give them a packet.

  3. WALK guests to a table with other guests, near the front/middle to create community around the tables.  Introduce guests to each other if possible.
  4. Hand out collection buckets during offering. If everyone is sitting close, you should be able to hand a bucket to the first person, they can pass it along, and you collect it at the other end of where everyone is sitting. If there are people in both the front and back “rows” of tables, use two collection buckets. Depending on how people are sitting, you may need to help pass the bucket between tables. Collect offering and place in locked box on the host table. This is the same for when there is communion but make sure everyone has communion! Also, when there is communion, one host will go up on stage and provide communion to the pastor and worship team.
  5. When Host on stage announces and says "If you're a first time guest and did not receive a VIP packet on your way in, we'd love to give you that: if you could please raise your hand, our hosts will come around with that"... look around for anyone raising their hand and give them a VIP packet.
  6. If on for 1st experience, please restock what is on the tables for guests.
  7. If on for 2nd experience, please pack up the host table supplies & everything on the tables and take the bin out to the sidewalk.

VIP Table

  1. Stand near the VIP table and greet guests as they walk by.
  2. Reminder for conversation starters:
    1. Introduce yourself and find out their name
    2. Think Pinocchio “How LONG have you been attending CHANGE?”
    3. Think Dumbo “How did you HEAR about CHANGE?”
    4. Think Aladdin “Your next steps to CHANGE is BELONG!  We’d love to get you connected!”
  3. Return to the VIP table during offering to be able to greet those who are leaving and potentially handing in Connect Cards/receiving a mug. Ask for their connect card and then give them a mug.
  4. Invite first time guests (VIPs) to fill out a connection card & give them a mug to take home.
  5. At the end of the experience, all connection cards go to Experience Coordinator.
  6. If on for 2nd experience, please pack up the VIP table supplies & everything on the table & take out the table & bin to the sidewalk by the trailer.

GREETER

  1. Stand near the entrance of Punch Line and greet guests with smiles & hugs as they walk in.  Depending on how many greeters are scheduled for a service, greeters will also be outside around the building greeting guests as they walk from the parking lot.
  2. Reminder for conversation starters:
    1. Introduce yourself and find out their name
    2. Think Pinocchio “How LONG have you been attending CHANGE?”
    3. Think Dumbo “How did you HEAR about CHANGE?”
    4. Think Aladdin “Your next steps to CHANGE is BELONG!  We’d love to get you connected!”
  3. Hold hand signs while welcoming guests.
  4. Return to the lobby and courtyard area during offering to be ready to greet guests as they leave.
  5. If on for 2nd experience, please pack up all hand signs, feather signs, and any other special elements & take the bin out to the sidewalk near the trailer to be loaded.

CAFE

  1. Stand near the café and greet guests with a smile & welcoming conversations (can hold a hand sign if you want).
  2. Reminder for conversation starters:
    1. Introduce yourself and find out their name
    2. Think Pinocchio “How LONG have you been attending CHANGE?”
    3. Think Dumbo “How did you HEAR about CHANGE?”
    4. Think Aladdin “Your next steps to CHANGE is BELONG!  We’d love to get you connected!”
  3. If on for 2nd experience, please help Experience Coordinator pack up café table & supplies and take the bin out to the sidewalk near the trailer to be loaded.

PARKING

  1. Stand near the street to wave cars into the parking lot & greet them as they pull in! 
  2. When they get out of their cars, welcome them to CHANGE and point them in the direction of Punch Line entrance.
  3. NOTE:  If they are calling for rain, we will have umbrellas for our team to walk guests in from their cars.
